This Privacy Policy applies to all Way of MOS products and services.

Information You Provide Directly

When you use Sacred Quest, you share information with us including:

• Account Information: Email address, name, password (encrypted), and profile settings
• Practice Logs: Meditation sessions, shadow work activities, heart practices, and other spiritual activities you choose to track
• MOS Scores: Your self-assessed Mystery, Odyssey, and Sanctity scores (0-2 scale)
• Outcome Ratings: Your mood, energy, productivity, focus, sleep quality, and health ratings
• Conversations with Sage: Messages you send to and receive from your AI companion
• Journal Entries: Personal reflections and notes you create within the app
• Subscription Information: Payment details processed securely through Apple App Store or Stripe

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features you use, time spent in sessions
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to help us improve
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, crash reports

• We do not access your device's camera, microphone, or contacts without explicit permission

How We Use Conversation Data

• Personalization: Your conversations help Sage understand YOUR journey better
• AI Training: We use ONLY aggregated, fully anonymized conversation patterns to improve Sage
• Your Privacy: Individual conversations are NEVER shared with third parties or used to train public AI models
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of anonymous data aggregation in Settings

Communicate with You

• Send important service updates and security notifications
• Provide customer support when you reach out
• Send optional practice reminders (only if you enable them)

We respect your privacy deeply. Here's who may access your data:

Service Providers

• OpenRouter: Powers Sage's AI conversations using advanced language models
• Supabase: Hosts our database infrastructure securely
• Apple App Store / Stripe: Processes subscription payments securely

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

We Never Sell Your Data

Your spiritual journey is not for sale. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

We take security seriously:

• Encryption: Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure Authentication: Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt
• Access Controls: Limited team access to personal data, with strict protocols
• Regular Audits: We regularly review our security practices

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information:

• Timeline: We will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery
• Method: Notification via email and in-app alert
• Information Provided: What data was affected, what we're doing about it, and steps you should take
• Regulatory Notification: We will notify relevant data protection authorities as required by law

General Retention

• Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
• Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days
• Backups: Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days

Sage Conversation Data

• Active Storage: Conversations are stored for personalization and your journey history
• Deletion: Upon account deletion, all conversations are permanently deleted within 30 days
• Export: You can export all conversation history via Settings > Privacy & Data

You can export your data at any time from Settings before deleting your account.

For All Users

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Export: Download your practice logs, conversations, and data in JSON format
• Opt-Out: Disable optional features like analytics or marketing

GDPR Rights (EU/UK/EEA Users)

Additional rights under GDPR include right to portability, restrict processing, object, and withdraw consent.

CCPA Rights (California Residents)

California users have rights to know, delete, opt-out, and non-discrimination under CCPA/CPRA.

Sacred Quest is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@wayofmos.com.

Sacred Quest is operated globally. If you're outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US or other countries where our service providers operate.

For EU/UK users, we ensure adequate protection through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
